The PARADIGM SHIFT

Image
Once again a big dark murky silence, I myself do not remember when was the last time I sat down to write a blog on User Experience, Information Architecture or Visual Design. As if I was crossing past a big vacuum in laps of time. A year past maybe, well I am not sure since I don’t look back to my posts unless there is a real need of doing so. Nevertheless, what I was doing? Silently watching the transition? or transformation? Or, trying to take a shape that organizations envisioning? That big vacuum has left a big question to me.  What Next?  What is the single big next thing is going to happen or as an Information Architect, what should we try and adapt fast? There are too many things…Single responsibility principle is likely to abolish. Therefore, in writing this blog I am actually searching for an answer, leaving a question for everybody WHAT …? Is the single next big thing… a)    Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning b)   Augmented Realit...

Hilman Curtis , a true Renaissance man combined with the skills of a web, graphic designer and apart from being a filmmaker and musician passed away on 18 th  April , 2012. When I was young and just started my career as web designer, back at 2000 I devotedly followed the footsteps of this master. UX Design in a nutshell

Image
Today, project roles are loosely defined because many project teams are small in scale. That’s the reason I guess a UX designer (comprises of Information Architect, Marketing & client servicing person, Visulaizer, Interface designer, Usabilty Analyst, SEO&SMO Consultant) can play a significant roll. What makes the role of the UX Designer even more challenging is that there exists a sort of “brand preemption” online—users begins to with a number of expectations for products and services they use online. This means that not only does a UX Designer have to ensure a consistent and quality experience; they have to appeal to their users sensibilities. All in all, there are plenty of responsibilities to go around when it comes to UX direction on a project. Now I am putting my thoughts down with some core elements of User Experience Designing, whatever small idea I have on the subject I am trying to define them so in case anybody is looking forward to grasping the concept and b...
